Job Description:

We are seeking a Skilled Agile Delivery Specialist / Scrum Master to lead and manage Agile delivery processes within our IT team. This role is crucial in driving efficient change delivery using Agile methodologies, promoting innovation, and fostering high-quality results. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams in adopting and maturing Agile practices, ensuring effective alignment between product and technology strategies.

As an Agile Delivery Specialist, you will serve as a facilitative servant leader, enabling self-organization within the team, removing obstacles, and driving continuous improvement. Your role will also include mentoring teams, coaching stakeholders, and optimizing the delivery of business value through Agile frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Agile Leadership & Coaching:
  • Guide teams in understanding and adhering to Agile values and principles.
  • Coach teams and stakeholders in Agile frameworks, techniques, and practices to foster self-organization and adaptability.
• Product & Backlog Management:
  • Support Product Owners in refining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Facilitate clarity on user stories and ensure readiness for sprint planning.
• Facilitation & Collaboration:
  • Remove impediments to the team's progress and foster seamless communication.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Metrics & Transparency:
  • Track and share metrics to measure team performance and project progress.
  • Recommend and implement metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Quality & Delivery Optimization:
  • Drive quality across all stages of the delivery lifecycle, minimizing defects.
  • Collaborate on value stream mapping to identify and address gaps in delivery capabilities.
• Technical Awareness:
  • Promote engineering best practices such as Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and DevOps.
  • Enhance software engineering maturity within teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Certified Agile Scrum Master (CSM or PSM1 equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams using Scrum/Kanban frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to inspire teams and drive change.
• Knowledge of widely adopted Agile techniques such as TDD/BDD, Value Stream Mapping, and Continuous Integration.
• Experience in the insurance or financial sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with data domain technologies such as Guidewire, Informatica, and Master Data Management is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Hands-on experience with Agile scaling approaches and modern software engineering techniques.
• Proficiency in guiding DevOps adoption within teams.
